Riot just announced some massive follow-up ARAM changes for Patch 12.23.
ARAM, or All Random All Mid, released in 2012, is one of League of Legends‘ oldest game modes. It is an alternate game mode, unlike Summoners Rift is geared towards the casual player base.
Over the years, ARAM has become one of League’s most popular game modes, and it’s mostly because of its randomness. As its name suggests, ARAM is a game mode where the champions are assigned to you randomly, and ten players are locked in a single lane. This leads to many unique and interesting situations and is why so many players love ARAM.
It is also the cause of many frustrations because getting a bad team comp leads to some unwinnable situations. Although Riot has been doing many things to mitigate such frustrations, it wasn’t enough. So, Riot announced that they would be reworking ARAM.
The ARAM rework arrived in Patch 12.23 with a bunch of changes like Revamped Map and Hex gates. Although the rework addressed some frustrations, it had some balance issues.
So, Riot, to fix these issues, announced some Hotfix balance changes.
Riot Maxwell, the lead designer of the Modes team, announced the changes on his Twitter page.

- Outgoing Damage: 105% > 100%
- Damage Reduction: 5% > 0%
Aphelios
- Outgoing Damage: 95% > 100%
Azir
- Attack Speed Scaling: 0 > 0.025
- Ability Haste: 0 > 20
Dr. Mundo
- Outgoing Damage: 95% > 90%
- Heal Mod: 100% > 90%
Draven
- Damage Reduction: 0% > 5%
Hecarim
- Outgoing Dmg: 110% > 100%
- Damage Reduction: 10% > 5%
Kai’sa
- Damage Reduction: 0% > 5%
Kalista
- Damage Reduction: 0% > 10%
Kassadin
- Outgoing Dmg: 105% > 100%
