Fearless Draft will now be implemented in both MSI and Worlds 2025.

Earlier in 2025, Riot made one of the biggest changes to the competitive League of Legends in years, the introduction of Fearless Draft.

What is Fearless Draft? It is a new pick/ban format used in League of Legends tournaments that prevents teams from picking the same champions they played in previous games of a series. Unlike traditional drafting methods, Fearless Draft encourages different champion picks and gives way for new and unique champion picks.

The format was initially implemented for the first split of 2025 and the new tournament “First Stand”. However, with the recent success of the tournament and the positive feedback from fans regarding the format, Riot has decided to bring it back.

In a recent update, Riot has announced that they will be extending Fearless Draft for the remainder of the 2025 season, starting in Split 2. So, all five regions, LCK, LPL, LEC, LTA, and LCP will all have fearless drafts. Not to mention, the upcoming international tournament MSI and Worlds 2025 will also be using the format.
