Major Apex Legends leaks have revealed the next prestige edition skin in the game, and it looks like Revenant is next in line to receive this premium skin treatment.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game based in the same universe as the Titanfall franchise. Despite intense competition from Warzone and Fortnite, Apex has earned quite a name among the popular battle royale titles since its release.

Respawn successfully merged their world-class first-person shooter mechanics with hero-based abilities to near perfection. They became a household name in this genre and quickly garnered a massive active player base.

Like other games in the same genre, Respawn took the free-to-play model to monetize their first foray into the battle royale market. It turned out to be a great decision as it meant this game had no barrier to entry.

Although players can purchase battle passes, skins, emote, and more to customize their play sessions, the game only offered character skins up to legendary rarity. That all changed when Respawn released the first Mythic rarity in season 12.

Revenant Prestige Skin in Season 17

As of now, Respawn has released 4 unique Prestige skins in the game, including Bloodhound, Bangalore, Wraith, and Caustic. All the Legends who received this premium skin treatment belong to the original 8 Legend roster from Season 0.

As a result, the community believed that Respawn would release the Prestige skins for one of the remaining Legends from the original roster: Pathfinder, Lifeline, Gibraltar, and Mirage.

However, recent leaks have proved that theory wrong as the “Mythic Tier 3” Revenant model was found in the Season 17 game files, leading the data miners to believe Revenant will be the next Legend to receive Prestige skin in the ongoing season.

Revenant has been an underwhelming Legend for a long time, with one of the lowest pick rates in the game. So, it looks like Respawn is not only planning to release a Prestige skin for Revenant but also rework Revenant to make him balanced in the current meta.
