Respawn is finally introducing a karambit melee skin in Apex Legends with the new season 23 “From the Rift” update.
As Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale title, Respawn uses paid cosmetic items to monetize the experience. Consequently, the development studio behind the game has added multiple tiers of cosmetic items such as weapon skins, character skins, weapon charms, player banners, drive trails, emotes, and more to keep the player base engaged.
Among these cosmetic items, legend-specific melee weapon skins called heirlooms were highly sought after as they were rare and expensive. Soon Respawn also started to add universal heirloom-type melee weapon skins that every character can equip in the game.
Unsurprisingly, these mythic-tier items that every character in the game can equip were an instant hit among the player base. With the new “Raptor’s Claw” karambit melee skin, Respawn will probably break its sales record.

After acquiring this new universal cosmetic, you can unlock the Crystal Chamber Death Box, as well as 5 other deadly variants and their matching Death Boxes.
