Ubisoft has started sharing official teasers for Rainbow Six Siege‘s upcoming season, and the latest post confirmed the name for Year 6 Season 4, which will be called “High Calibre.”
The static teaser video hints at the arrival of a brand-new weapon, and it will apparently be a new type of SMG. The gun is being held in the hands of the new operator, and there is some writing on the side of the weapon, which reads “SMG5, MK 2, .50 GI“. Players are already getting excited about this new weapon, and some have even shared info about the .50 GI ammunition that it is similar in size to .45 ACP. So don’t get your hopes too high about the damage stats.
In the Reddit AMA that took place a few months ago, the devs stated their plans of releasing one new gun every year. So it looks like the last season of the year will finally bring a new weapon to the game.
Ubisoft has not shared any further information about the Y6S4 ‘High Calibre’ yet. However, from the Year 6 roadmap, we know that the new operator will be from Ireland and a new map rework for Outback will be introduced.
Siege data miner, benjaminstrike, has shared some new leaks about the upcoming season, which revealed the new Operator’s name, gadget, and more. If you want, you can check it out here.
Rainbow Six November Major is set to begin on Nov. 8 and continue until Nov. 14, and we will most likely get the seasonal reveal panel during this event. Make sure to tune in live at twitch.tv/rainbow6 and earn some free esports packs.
