Ubisoft has unveiled Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 10 Season 1, and it is officially called ‘Operation Prep Phase.’

Rainbow Six Siege will be celebrating its Year 10 with the major update called ‘Siege X’, and Ubisoft is preparing for that huge leap with Y10S1, hence the Prep Phase name.

The new season is introducing a new attacker Rauora, who brings a bulletproof smart cover system that can be deployed on doorways.

Rauora: New Attacker

Rauora is a 2-speed, 2-health operator, and her primary gadget is the Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.) Launcher. She can use this launcher to deploy smart bulletproof panels that can be extended and closed by shooting the trigger at the top of the panel.

With her bulletproof cover, Rauora can block lines of sight from defenders, while deploying from a safe range. Both Attackers and Defenders can shoot the trigger to open and close it, but an operator needs to be close to it for the trigger to be activated. However, Attackers have a slight advantage, as the doors open much faster for the attacking side.

Rauora is equipped with the 417 DMR and M249 LMG as her primary weapon options. She carries the new Reaper MK2 automatic machine pistol and GSh-18 as her secondary. For her secondary gadget, Rauora can choose between Smoke and Breach Charge.

R6S Y10S1 also brings some improvements to the Reputation System, new Dynamic Matchmaking system, and more. Try out all the new changes in the Test Server, which will be available next week.
