Earlier today, Ubisoft confirmed the location of the upcoming Six November Major, which is set to be held in Gävle, Sweden.
This is the very first time in Rainbow Six Esports history that a Six Major is being held in Sweden. Like the recent Six Mexico Major, the Sweden Major will be held in a LAN environment without an on-site audience.
The Six Sweden Major will take place from November 8 to 14, and it will follow the same competitive format as the last Major. The group stage for the event will be held from Nov. 8-10, and the playoffs will be held from Nov. 12-14.
As it is the last S-tier tournament of the year on Ubisoft’s calendar, teams from around the world will have this final chance to earn more SI points for the Global Standings and qualify for the Six Invitational 2022.
“Our initial plan was to host this Six Major in Asia; however, due to the ongoing pandemic, we had to switch locations to take into account travel restrictions and local regulations,” stated Ubisoft.
A new operator bundle is also available in the Rainbow Six Siege in-game shop for this Six Major. However, the design reflects Ubisoft’s initial plans to hold the event in Asia and not the new location.
Note: 30% of the net revenue from these items will contribute to the competition’s prize pool, up to a cap of USD $500,000, offering you a chance to support the teams taking part in the Six Sweden Major!
As Stage 3 of the regional leagues are nearing its end, we’ll soon have all the 16 teams that will advance to compete in this Six November Major. Keep following us for the latest updates.
