It has only been a week since Ubisoft’s tactical shooter Rainbow Six Extraction launched, and in this time the title has already racked up 3 million players.

Despite receiving some mixed press reviews, the game has seen an influx of players thanks to the addition of Mircosoft’s Game Pass. Since its release on Jan. 20th, 3 million players across all platforms have already launched the game, and players are getting pleasantly surprised by the mechanics of the game.

This player count is set to increase, as more users will be joining the fight against the deadly Archaean threat thanks to the Buddy Pass system that will be going live tonight at 3 PM UTC.

Ubisoft announced the Buddy Pass system for R6 Extraction that will allow players to invite two of their friends from any platform to play for free for two weeks. Two Buddy Pass tokens will be provided to every owner of the game, even those on Game Pass, so you will be able to give these tokens to 2 of your friends on any platform, as the game also supports crossplay.

All progression that your friends make will carry over if they decide to buy the full game. This tactical coop shooter is best played with friends, as communication is key when completing the objectives in the tensed subzones.

Rainbow Six Extraction is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Amazon Luna, Stadia, and also available for Xbox and PC Game Pass owners.
