Here is how you can get Turtwig in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon trainers seeking to add a Grass-type Pokemon to their party can catch Turtwig. So even if you have chosen Rowlet, you can still catch Turtwig and get a Grass-type Pokemon early in the game. Although the game allows you to get all three Starter Pokemon without trading, you will have to complete the main storyline to get all three. So below, we have made a complete guide on how to get Turtwig in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

How to get Turtwig

Players can acquire Turtwig after unlocking the Crimson Mirelands and crossing the river to the right of Ursa’s ring. Players will find a lake in that land at the bottom right of the map – they can catch Turtwig here.

You can surf with Basculegion or Braviary across the river and reach the Turtwig spawn location faster. You can also get to the place by moving around Lake Valor.

Players can also use Wyrdeeer to jump across the river and reach Turtwig spawn location. If they time it perfectly, gamers will be able to swim across the shore while Wyrdeer despawns as it hits the river. However, the method is challenging to execute and works at specific locations near the river.

So the other two ways of reaching the destination, such as going around Lake Valor or using Basculegoin or Braviary, are better alternatives. For example, the Pokemon on the other side of the river is close to level 20. So, make sure you gave leveled up your party before you attempt to catch Turtwig.

Turtwig flees upon catching sight of Pokemon trainers, so players need to sneak up quietly. Although Turtwig spawns in all weather conditions, the spawning rate is dependent on weather and time of day. Cloudy days, sunny days, and night times, have different spawning rates. You can lure Turtwig by tossing food items such as berries and thus, separating Turtwig from other Pokemon near the lake.
