Modern Warfare 2 players are unhappy with the game’s current spawn system. The new squad spawn system has been unable to solve the pre-existing spawn issue.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the direct sequel to MW (2019). The game features a follow-up campaign and a new multiplayer mode with few pre-existing gameplay features and mechanics. However, Infinity Ward changed many things related to the game to shake things up.
Out of all the new changes, the most significant change was made to the game’s spawn system. Currently, the game features a new Squad spawn system completely different from the previous rotational spawn system.
However, players are unhappy with the new spawn system as it has been unable to solve pre-existing issues such as lousy spawn timings and spawn traps. Furthermore, players are begging the devs to fix the spawn system, as it is becoming unbearable.

Players beg Devs to Fix Modern Warfare 2’s Spawn System
In a recent Reddit thread by u/Stiletto6112515, the user begged the devs to fix Modern Warfare 2’s spawn system, labeling it the worst. The original poster’s complaint doesn’t come as a shock, as players have been vocal about the new spawn system since the game’s launch
The new Squad spawn system focuses on player squads and their position on the map to determine the spawn position. However, on many maps, the squad system completely breaks down, making players spawn in enemy areas.
Many players have reported being spawned right in front of enemy gunfire, making them die instantly. u/GenAlphaDad expressed his frustration about this horrible spawn issue on maps like Shipment.
Infinity Ward should dive into the squad spawn system and devise a workaround. Players are getting frustrated with each passing day, which is visible in the declining player count of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2.
