New Switch Expected To Release This Year
Nintendo Switch has sold over 132 million units and established itself as one of the best-selling consoles of all time. The Switch entered its seventh year and is approaching the end of its life cycle. Nintendo has not revealed anything about a potential successor to the Switch, but there have been a few leaks where the Switch 2 was demonstrated to game developers.
Hiroshi Hayase claimed that Nintendo’s console will launch sometime later this year. If his claims are true, the Switch successor will feature the largest display on any Nintendo console. The standard Nintendo Switch currently features a 6.2-inch LCD screen, while the Switch OLED features a 7-inch OLED screen. However, the Switch Lite boasts a smaller 5.5-inch LCD display.
The new Switch 2 is expected to use a Samsung 8nm process and an Nvidia Tegra 239 GPU, a custom version of the T234. The new console will also support Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction, which will help with Ray Tracing technology. The community is now just waiting for Nintendo to announce the Switch successor.
