Death Stranding Director’s Cut is arriving on iPhone 15 Pro models, iPad and Mac devices next week.
Hideo Kojima and Apple announced that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be coming to Mac, iPhone, and iPad at the WWDC 2023. Apple devices running the M1 chip or better will be capable of running the game, which includes the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, all iPads and MacBook laptops.
At last year’s WWDC, Apple showcased the gaming potential of Apple Silicon devices and announced a couple of major AAA titles for their devices. Afterwards, legendary video game maker Hideo Kojima appeared and announced that the director’s cut of Death Stranding would be coming to Apple devices at the end of 2023. However, Kojima Productions later announced that the game would be delayed till early 2024.

Death Stranding Coming To Apple Devices Next Week
Kojima Productions and 505 Games announced today that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will launch on select Apple devices on Tuesday, January 30. The popular game starring Norman Reedus will be released on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max model with the A17 Pro chip and all iPad and Mac models equipped with M1 or newer chips.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut is available for pre-order now on Apple’s App Store for a discount price of $19.99 in the United States for a limited period. After release, the game will be priced at $39.99. The A17 Pro chip for iPhone 15 Pro models and the M-series chip for Macs can support ray tracing and mesh shadowing for improved graphics performance, lighting and reflections.
Death Stranding is the first game released by Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after the video game maker split with Konami in 2015. The game was first released for the PlayStation 4 in 2019 and was later released for Windows and PlayStation 5.
Death Stranding is set in a post-apocalyptic open world where a cataclysmic event causes destructive creatures to begin roaming the Earth. Players have taken the role of Sam Porter Bridges (Played by Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to isolated places and helping them connect via a wireless network.
