Marvel Rivals is an upcoming 6v6 team-based shooting game for PC, developed by former Call of Duty and Battlefield.
Chinese developer NetEase and Marvel Games have announced Marvel Rivals, a team-based PvP shooter set in the Marvel Universe. The game will be a free-to-play 6v6 third-person game, where players can take on the roles of 18 iconic superheroes and supervillain Marvel characters. Marvel announced that more characters will be coming after the game’s release in May 2024.
On March 27, Marvel Games officially revealed the trailer for the game and some gameplay images. The closed alpha version of the game will include will include Iron Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, Star-Lord and The Punisher.

This is the game we want to make, and we feel very lucky to be the team who made all of this come true.

In addition to the diverse characters’ roster, the game was developed by veteran designers who previously worked on Call of Duty and Battlefield games. Marvel Rivals is currently developing for PC, and the alpha test will begin in May. During the alpha testing phase, players can try out different characters as they take them to the battlefield.
Players can create different combinations of abilities to fight against opponents on the battlefield. Some battlefields will include Asgard and Tokyo 2099, and NetEase said the environmental structures will be destructible. Marvel and NetEase promised robust post-launch updates with seasonal drops adding new characters, maps, and content.
