Everything you need to know about LAD: Infinite Wealth’s multiplayer features.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a massive RPG. The biggest entry in the Yakuza series, it has over 70 hours of gameplay comprising just the main story alone.

It fleshes out the turn-based combat introduced in its predecessor and retains the series’ signature quirky humor, and of course, all the wild and varied side content and mini-games you could wish for.
Infinite Wealth also has online multiplayer features. Though the series is not new to multiplayer, allowing local multiplayer play of many of the minigames, online multiplayer is something the series is new to, aside from Yakuza 6’s tower defense mini-game.
In this article, we will look at the multiplayer features Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has to offer.
Dondoko Island Multiplayer

Infinite Wealth introduces Dondoko Island, a resort island where you are tasked with building a five-star resort, gathering materials, and building houses. It is pretty much a city-builder mini-game (though calling it mini would be a disservice) with mechanics similar to Animal Crossing.
Furthermore, other players can visit this island, introducing online multiplayer features to the series. If you’ve played Animal Crossing, you’ll be familiar with this mechanic along with the rest of the mini-game.
However, it has not been revealed whether real-time interactions with other players’ resorts are possible.
Local Multiplayer Mini-Games
Yakuza games have had local multiplayer features before, including Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami which allowed you to play mini-games, such as bowling, head-to-head with another player.
That said, there has been no confirmation that Infinite Wealth will also have this feature. Furthermore, its predecessor, Like A Dragon, did not have the 2 Player Vs Mini-Game feature, as the series’ ventured into a full-fledged RPG pretty much removed any room for multiplayer.

However, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth has been listed for 1-2 players on all platforms, with optional online play. So, we can hope that the mini-game local co-op feature will make a comeback in this sequel.
