MrBeast has officially surpassed Swedish YouTuber Pewdiepie and taken the spot as the number one most subscribed YouTube content creator.
Jimmy Donaldson or more popularly known as MrBeast, is a famous American YouTuber and entrepreneur. He is famous for his videos where he pulls off expensive stunts and gives away a lot of money. MrBeast is said to be the pioneer of a new genre of content on YouTube that features expensive giveaways and huge spending. MrBeast is also the co-creator of Team Trees which is a fundraiser that has successfully raised over $22 million and planted over 20 million trees.
A few years ago, Swedish YouTuber Pewdiepie had a subscribers race with TSeries and Cocomelon. At that time, MrBeast came to Prediepie’s aid and urged people to subscribe to Pewdiepie. It was a race to be the first to reach 100 million subscribers on YouTube. Since then, Pewdiepie has basically retired and moved to Japan and now makes content rarely.
MrBeast, on the other hand, is doubling down on content creation and even gave away a free island after reaching 100 million subscribers. For the last year or so, MrBeast has been gaining new subscribers at a frightening rate. And just recently, he blew past Pewdiepie’s subscribers count.
Mr Beast Surpasses Pewdiepie:
The graph below shows the incredible subscriber gain of MrBeast. Back in January, MrBeast was sitting at around 50 million subscribers. Within the span of 8 months, MrBeast has surpassed Pewdiepie in reaching the top spot on YouTube. On the other hand, after Pewdiepie’s soft retirement, his subscriber count has been sitting at around 110-111 million all this time.
At the time of writing this article, MrBeast has already surpassed Pewdiepie. MrBeast currently has 111,884,471 subscribers, while Pewdiepie has 111,846,363. The difference between MrBeast and Pewdiepie subscribers count is around 38k.
This makes MrBeast the most subscribed individual YouTube content creator.
