Viktor is getting a brand new skin in the upcoming patch.
Viktor was released back in 2011, making him one of the oldest champions of League of Legends. That said, unlike other older champions, his kit remains quite solid, even after the recent rework; it remains mostly unchanged. However, unlike his kit, his visuals were not up to par, leading to his visual rework back in 2024.
The rework upgraded his abilities and visuals, making them much better looking and much smoother. However, they also changed his lore and visuals to make him align with the Arcane season 2 Viktor. Don’t get me wrong, Arcane Viktor is very cool, but it isn’t the Viktor we had. Pre-rework, Viktor was slightly like evil Iron Man, who would do anything to push humans to their next evolution, even if it meant merging with machines, while Arcane feels like a god that only sees logic. They are both vastly different characters.
This led to many players expressing their frustration about the rework, and many even demanded that they revert the rework. However, as we all know that they didn’t revert the rework, but Riot did promise to make a skin that captures the previous Viktor’s likeness. Which leads us to today, Riot announced the new Viktor skin called Machine Herald Viktor, which is very similar to pre-rework Viktor and even retains the previous voicelines.
