Riot is releasing a mythic chroma for their popular skin, Battle Academia Ezreal.
Battle Academia is a series of alternate universe skins in League of Legends, set in a world where champions go to school that cultivates the next generation of superheroes. This skin line is inspired by animes such as My Hero Academia.
This skin line has many beloved skins. But the most popular skin in the entire skin line is the legendary Battle Academia Ezreal skin, even surpassing his ultimate Pulsefire skin. The Battle Academia Ezreal skin is a complete reimagining of the champion from the ground up, with a total and complete immersion in the fantasy.
Battle Academia Ezreal, even though a very popular skin, did not have any chromas. Chromas are essentially recolors of the original skins with their unique feel to them. They cost around 290 RP individually. But they can be bought in a bundle for much cheaper than purchasing all of the chromas individually.
Mythic chromas are regular chromas with added VFX and recolored abilities, similar to Emberwoken chromas from the Ashen Knight skins. Since Battle Academia Ezreal is one of the most loved Ezreal skins, Riot ended up deciding to give Ezreal a mythic chroma.

Battle Academia Ezreal Mythic Chroma
Similar to Final Boss Veigar mythic chroma, it has a blueish VFX and recolor compared to the original Red VFX and color. The abilities of the VFX also have some golden aura to them. Overall, people have mixed reactions to this skin; the most notable reason is that the color and the VFX look much similar to the default Ezreal skin.
Mythic Chroma Price
Just like the previous mythic chromas, the Battle Academia Ezreal mythic chroma will be 40 ME. Which will cost you around 2400 RP if you already have the Battle Academia Ezreal skin. But if you don’t own it already, it might cost you upwards of around 4220 RP.
Release Date
Battle Academia mythic chroma is currently out in the PBE servers, so if you have access, you can try it out right now. And it will release on the live servers on patch 12.16, which is scheduled to release on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
