Legends of Runeterra Patch 7.10 Release Date

Riot says Patch 7.10 will be playable on October 7, 2026, at approximately 10 AM PT. Thatโ€™s 5 PM UTC and 6 PM BST.

Shen Joins The Path of Champions

Shenโ€™s powers reward you for giving allies Barrier and using Support effects. His upgrades add permanent stat growth, extra strikes, and a way to damage the enemy Nexus while blocking.

Shenโ€™s Star Powers

StarsPowerEffect
1Kinkou Tutelage IGiving an ally Barrier grants all allies with Barrier +1/+0.
2Watchful EyeAdds one starting mana. Creates Moral Support at game start and after you play a spell other than Moral Support, provided you donโ€™t already have one in hand.
3Kinkou Tutelage IIKeeps the Barrier bonus and grants supported allies +0/+2, increased to +2/+2 if they have Barrier.
4Striking LessonsEach round, the first time you target or support an ally without Ephemeral, that ally strikes the weakest enemy.
5ManaflowGrants an additional mana gem at game start.
6Twilight AssaultCreates Shadow Dash at round start if you donโ€™t have one. When an ally with Barrier strikes while blocking, it also strikes the enemy Nexus.

Twilight Assault gives Shen a clear payoff for building a protected board. With Barrier active, your blockers can push Nexus damage during the opponentโ€™s attack.

Shenโ€™s Starting Deck, Relic, and Shadow Dash

Shenโ€™s starting deck includes Sparring Student, Prancing Sea Spirits, Kinkou Student, Rivershaper, Swole Squirrel, Trusty Adnere, Syncopation, and Ki Guardian, alongside Shen himself.

His new Epic relic, Kinkou Tradition, provides Elusive. Whenever an ally gains Barrier, it also grants that ally a random keyword and refills one mana.

Shadow Dash is a new two-cost Slow spell that silences an enemy and makes it start a free attack. Combined with Twilight Assault, that gives Shen a way to force a fight and trigger his blocking payoff.

Kindredโ€™s New Constellation and Star Powers

Kindredโ€™s expanded progression puts more emphasis on marking enemies and cashing in on their deaths. The higher upgrades improve your champions and let summoned allies immediately strike marked targets.

StarsPowerEffect
1Ashes to AshesSummons a Prey at round start if you donโ€™t have one. Slaying allied or marked units deals one damage to the enemy Nexus.
2Circle of DeathAdds one starting mana. Creates Spirit Journey at round start, or reduces its cost by two if you already have one.
3Ashes to Ashes IIKeeps the Prey effect and increases the Nexus damage from slaying allied or marked units to two.
4The Hunt BeginsMarks a random enemy for the round at round start. Slaying a marked unit grants allied champions everywhere +1/+1.
5ManaflowGrants an additional mana gem at game start.
6Yet Always in the Shadow, the Hunter LiesYour first ally summoned each round strikes the weakest marked enemy. After youโ€™ve slain six or more marked units that game, every ally you summon triggers the strike.

Kindredโ€™s listed starting deck contains The Wings and the Wave, Fading Icon, Mask Mother, Phantom Prankster, Spirit Leech, Tortured Prodigy, Black Spear, and Crumble, plus Kindred.

The new Epic relic, Mark of the Kindred, grants Deathless. When its equipped unit is summoned, it marks the weakest enemy and reduces that enemyโ€™s health to one, setting up an easier kill.

Patch 7.10 Buffs, Reworks, and Nerfs

Bonded Bucklers Rework

Bonded Bucklers previously gave a supported ally +1/+1 and the supporting unitโ€™s keywords for the round. It now grows the supported allyโ€™s stats to match the supporting unitโ€™s stats and shares its positive keywords for the round.

So, that gives large supporting units a much bigger potential payoff. Riot notes that this change went live earlier than intended, with Patch 7.10 formally documenting it.

Kindred Mark Synergy Improvement

In The Path of Champions, Kindred now treats marks applied by other sources as their own. Riot specifically highlights compatibility with Spirit Blossom Kindred, opening up more ways to build around the marking mechanic.

Are There Any Nerfs?

Riotโ€™s Patch 7.10 notes list no direct card nerfs. However, a bug fix changes how temporary damage and death protection interact with Gloom, as detailed below.

New Items in Patch 7.10

Three items join the update:

  • Alarm Horn: A Common item that grants +0/+1 and Sharpsight.
  • Shadow Technique: A Rare item whose Support effect summons an attacking, exact Ephemeral copy of the supported ally.
  • Otherworldly Armaments: A Rare item that grants targeted allies a Rare item.

New Bundles and Store Changes

Both Shen and Kindred receive Celebration, Four Star, Five Star, and Celestial Star bundles. Each championโ€™s Celestial Star bundle becomes available after unlocking their Five Star bundle. Thereโ€™s also a Kindred & Shen Battle Pass Bundle.

For relic shoppers, Hidden Tome replaces Disciple of Shadows in the Emporium for a limited time. Innervating Locket can also appear in the Glory Store starting with Patch 7.10.

Legends of Runeterra Patch 7.10 Bug Fixes

Riot lists three fixes:

  • The Runes panelโ€™s search function should keep working after you bind a rune.
  • The Star Forger adventure now displays the correct unlock requirements.
  • Units with temporary protection from damage and death should no longer incorrectly survive at turn end after being Gloomed at one health.

Obviously, that final fix is worth remembering when planning a defensive turn. Temporary protection should no longer leave an affected unit alive beyond the point when it should die.
