TFT set 6.5 leaks have allegedly confirmed that Renata is the upcoming support champion in League of Legends.
As ADC and Support champions were left behind last year, Riot Games hinted at releasing more than five champions in 2022.
In the meantime, Riot already released League’s fastest ADC, Zeri – The Spark of Zaun, and in Season 2022 live stream, teased the upcoming Support champion who is scheduled to come out in the next few months.
Since last year, there have been many theories and speculations that Corina might be that support champion. However, after the image teaser in the live stream, Corina being the next support champion pretty much died.
Well, the speculations didn’t end there. Just a few days ago, there were some leaks regarding the upcoming skins in 2022, and according to that list, a new champion named “Renata” is scheduled to get the Anima SQUAD skin.
Now, there are some Chinese datamined files for TFT set 6.5. And apparently, it also confirmed the name “Renata” being the upcoming champion for both League of Legends and TFT.
Moreover, the r/RenataMains subreddit is currently private, which is common for the upcoming champions’ subreddits.
Renata Ablities
Although what Renata’s abilities might be are still unknown, the leaks revealed her potential E ability for TFT, though it might be different for League of Legends.
- E:
- Passive: Renata’s basic attack deals percentage of the target’s maximum health as true damage.
- Active: Renata fire a missile at her target dealing magic damage to all enemies hit and reducing thier magic resistance. At the end of the missile, it will explode, causing the same effect to enemies in the explosion, and the magic resstance reduction can stack.
Renata Release Date
It is still unclear whether Renata will be the upcoming champion in League of Legends, let alone the release date.
However, according to a leak, Renata might be coming out on League of Legends patch 12.5 with the Anima SQUAD event, scheduled for March 3, 2022. (Please take it with a grain of salt)
