Following T1’s victory against BLG at Worlds 2024, the players have shared which champion skins they want to see for the Team Skins.
The Worlds skins are a series of skins created to commemorate a team’s victory in the League of Legends World Championship. Players who contributed to the team’s overall tournament victory are granted their unique champion skin. Each player can nominate one champion they played during the tournament for their skin.
This tradition of Worlds skins has been around since the beginning of League of Legends Esports. Starting with the first Worlds skin line, the Fnatic skin line, there has been a total of 13 skin lines released so far. The latest of which is the T1 2023 skin line, released in August of this year. However, with T1 winning the Worlds 2024 finals, we have yet another batch of T1 skins to look forward to, the T1 2024 skin line.
Following the hard-fought victory against LPL’s number 1 seed BLG, most of the T1 players revealed which champion skins they wanted to see for the Team Skins. Here is what the players are planning to select.
Worlds 2024 T1 Skins
So, in order to pick a champion for a Worlds skin, there is a condition that needs to be fulfilled. Only one of three conditions must be met to be eligible for a World Skin. The requirements are as follows:
- Participate in at least 2 play-in stage games that impacted the team’s advancement to the knockout game (i.e., those games had to matter for seeding or advancement).
- Participate in at least 2 group stage games that impacted the team’s advancement to the knockout game (i.e., those games had to matter for seeding or advancement).
- Participate in at least 1 knockout stage game (Quarters, Semis, or Finals).
So, unfortunately, T1 Rekkles will not be getting a Worlds skin.
With that said, here are the skins that T1 players revealed at the press conference.
- Zeus (Top): Gragas, Camille, or Ornn
- Oner (Jungle): Vi or Xin Zhao
- Faker (Mid): What fans might like!
- Gumayusi (ADC): Jhin or Varus
- Keria (Support): Renata or Pyke
It seems most of the T1 players haven’t decided what champion skins they are going to pick. However, many are wishing for Zeus to pick either Gragas or Ornn. While many would love to see Faker’s iconic Galio with a Prestige skin.
Jhin already has a T1, although not Gumayusi’s but another Jhin skin doesn’t hurt. Although, Gumayusi’s iconic Varus skin is much preferred. As for Keria, he isn’t getting a Lux skin this year too, so it’s either Renata Glasc or Pyke.
