Yorick is receiving a much-needed mini-rework in the upcoming patch.
We’re only three months into 2025, and Riot has already released two champion reworks and there is another one on the way. According to Riot, Yorick is the next champion to get reworked and it’s arriving in the upcoming patch.
Yorick as a champion has struggled to find his place in the meta ever since his VGU back in Patch 6.18. Outside of dedicated one-trick players, he’s rarely picked. However, there has been a recent surge in his play rate due to players figuring out that he can take two Jungle camps at once. But due to Riot nerfing this strategy, he is back to abysmal play rate once again.
To address this, Riot is giving Yorick a mini rework, aiming to make him more appealing to players and finally to make him viable in the meta.

Patch 25.07 Yorick Mini-Rework
Here are all the changes coming to Yorick in the upcoming patch.
Base Stats
- Armor growth reduced to 4.5 from 5.2.
Passive – Shepherd of Souls
- Grave per death reduced to 8 – 2 (based on level) from 12 / 6 / 2 (based on level).
- Changed to every 5th on ARAM.
- Mist Walker base attack damage changed to 15 – 75 (based on level) from 4 – 90 (based on level).
- Mist Walker’s AD ratio changed to 20% bonus AD from 20% total AD.
- Mist Walker base health increased to 110 – 400 (based on level) from 110 – 212 (based on level). Now also uses stat growth.
- Mist Walker’s health ratio changed to 15% of Yorick’s bonus health from 20% of Yorick’s maximum health.
- Mist Walker base attack speed reduced to 0.5 at all levels from 0.5 – 1.18 (based on level).
- New Effect: Mist Walker’s attack speed now scales with 100% of Yorick’s bonus attack speed.
- Mist Walker monster damage reduction increased to 60% from 50%.
- New Effect: Mist Walkers now receive 40% damage from lane minions.
- Removed: Mist Walkers are no longer instantly killed by single-target spells.
- New Effect: Mist Walkers now take 100% bonus damage from melee champion basic attacks.
- Mist Walker’s incoming area damage modifier changed to 66% – 40% (based on level) from 50% at all levels.
Q – Last Rites
- AD ratio increased to 50% AD from 40% AD.
- Cooldown reduced to 6 / 5.5/ 5 / 4.5 / 4 seconds from 7 / 6.25 / 5.5 / 4.75 / 4.
- New Effect: Now spawns a grave if it damages a champion or large monster.
- Killing a target with the spell will only spawn 1 grave.
E – Mourning Mist
- Removed: No longer deals 15% of the target’s current health damage.
- New Effect: Now deals 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 base damage.
- Removed: No longer has a minimum damage of 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210.
- Removed: No longer has a monster damage cap of 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210.
- AP ratio increased to 100% AP from 70% AP.
- Removed: Mist Walkers no longer deal 20% bonus damage for the next 8 attacks against the target.
- New Effect: Now reduces the target’s armor by 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 / 30% for 4 seconds.
- Bonus movement speed increased to 30% from 20%.
R – Eulogy of the Isles
- Mark damage reduced to 1.5 / 1.75 / 2% of the target’s maximum health from 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75 / 3%.
- Maiden base attack damage increased to 60 / 90 / 120 from 0 / 10 / 40.
- Maiden attack damage AD ratio changed to 30% bonus AD from 50% total AD.
- Maiden base health increased to 1050 – 3150 (based on level) from 400 – 1650 (based on level).
- Maiden health ratio changed to 60% of Yorick’s bonus health from 60% of Yorick’s maximum health.
Release Date
The Yorick Mini-Rework is set to be released on Patch 25.07, which is scheduled to go live on April 2, 2025.
