Statikk Shiv is getting a Mini-Rework in the upcoming patch.
The Statikk Shiv was one of the oldest and most reliable Wave clear items in League of Legends until Riot removed it in Patch 10.23. However, Riot brought it back a few years later in the Season 13 Mid-Season update.
Unfortunately, since its reintroduction to the game, the item has been quite problematic for the game. The item has a pretty good build path, and most importantly it provides a tad too much wave clear. Thus Riot nerfed the item’s wave clear and even stats multiple times.
However, the Nerfs still haven’t stopped it from staying one of the best items in the game. Champions like Jhin, Kai’Sa, Vayne, and Ashe use it to great effect to this day. Thus Riot is finally stepping in and giving Statikk Shiv a much-needed Mini-Rework.
Statikk Shiv Changes
Here are all the Statikk Shiv changes coming in the upcoming patch,
- Total cost reduced to 2700 from 2900.
- Combine cost was reduced to 450 from 650.
- Attack damage was reduced to 45 from 50.
- Attack speed reduced to 30% from 35%.
- Unique Passive – Electrospark:
- New effect: Your next 3 attacks on-hit within 8 seconds deal 60 bonus magic damage, increased to 85 against non-champions. This bounces to the closest target within 500 units, repeating from the new target to strike up to 5 targets (25 − 10 (based on level) (begins after the first attack) second cooldown).
- Old effect: Upon killing a minion or monster, unleash an electric spark at the location of their death which chains to the closest target within 500 units, repeating from the new one to strike up to 6 targets, dealing 120 magic damage to each (3-second cooldown).
- Unique Passive – Electroshock:
- New effect: Scoring a takedown against an enemy champion within 3 seconds of damaging them resets Electrospark’s cooldown.
- Old effect: Scoring a takedown against an enemy champion unleashes a lightning shock at the location of their death which chains to the closest target within 650 units, repeating from the new one to strike up to 186 targets, dealing 270 magic damage to each.
Statikk Shiv’s base stat is going down as well as its cost. It’s wave clear is going down slightly but it’s champion damage is going down significantly. Overall, it seems like a big nerf for the item.
Release Date
