Patch 14.10 is coming out soon with a lot of gameplay changes for League of Legends.
We are approaching the middle of the season as MSI 2024 is underway, and Riot is set to launch its biggest update since Patch 14.1 for League of Legends. With the three Ranked Split systems, Riot aims to make huge changes in the first patch of the season for Split 1, significant overhauls for Split 2, and smaller-level gameplay changes for Split 3.
With Split 2 starting from Patch 14.10, Riot is making some big changes. Runes and Items are being removed and replaced while there are more gameplay changes coming as well. Riot still has not made all the changes public, but we know a fair bit from the PBE server. Here is all we know so far.

Item Changes
Many items are going to get changes in this patch. Also, many items are being removed and some are being added. However, since Riot is rolling out these changes to fit the class system for Champions in League of Legends, this section is going to be huge and will have a ton of things to talk about.
New Items
All the new items coming to the game are as follows.
Blackfire Torch
This is an alternative to Liandry’s with more synergy at fights around objectives and teamfights.
- Build Path: Lost Chapter + Fated Ashes + 700 Gold.
- Price: 2800 Gold.
- Ability Power: 90.
- Mana: 600.
- Ability Haste: 25.
- Unique Passive – Baleful Blaze:
- Dealing Damage with Abilites causes enemies to burn for 20 (+ 2% Ability Power) Magic Damage per second for 3 seconds. This damage increases by 20 per seconds to Monsters.
- Unique Passive – Blackfire:
- For each enemy Champion, Epic Monster, and Large Monster affected by your Baleful Blaze, gain 4% Ability Power.
Fated Ashes
A new component is added for the new item, Blackfire Torch, and Liandry’s Torment.
- Build Path: Amplifying Tome + 500 Gold.
- Price: 900 Gold.
- Ability Power: 40.
- Passive – Inflame:
- Dealing Damage with Abilities causes enemies to burn for 7 Magic Damage per second for 3 seconds. This damage increases by 20 per second to Monsters.
Overlord’s Bloodmail
This is a new item that will add Attack Damage and Health and do damage and tank at the same time.
- Build Path: Tunneler + Tunneler + 1000 Gold.
- Price: 3300 Gold.
- Attack Damage: 40.

- Unique Passive – Tyranny:
- Gain 2% of your Bonus Health as Attack Damage.
- Unique Passive – Retribution:
- Gain up to 10% increased Attack Damage based on your percent Missing Health.
Scout’s Slingshot
A new component to mostly replace Noonquiver as an attack speed part. It also has a cool active.
- Build Path: Dagger + 600 Gold.
- Cost: 900 Gold.
- Attack Speed: 20%.
- Active – Magic Rock:
- Cooldown: 40 seconds.
- Damaging a champion deals an additional 40 magic damage. Attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second.
Symbiotic Soles
Mobility Boots are being removed and Symbiotic Soles are being added. This one has the movement speed but it only gets the out of combat bonus after traveling around the map a lot. Also, recalls are empowered when you get the item.
- Build Path: Boots + 600 Gold.
- Cost: 900 Gold.
- Movement Speed: 35%
- Recalls are Empowered.
- After Traveling 150000 units of distance in total, upgrade to Synchronized Souls.
Sychronized Soles
This is an upgrade of the Symbiotic Soles above so no recipe, but it does have an additional feature.

- Gain 45 Movement Speed Out of Combat.
Yun Tal Windarrows
A new item that will give Damage and Critical Strike Chance that will do more with Critical attacks.

- Unique Passive – Big Sting:

Riot is removing some items from the game to change things up and also removing some items that no longer have a use for their future vision.

ADC Items
The first on the changes docket are the ADC Items as Riot is functionally changing almost all major ADC items. They are going back to a Two Stat system where the item has either Attack Damage + Attack Speed instead of Critical Strike Chance + Attack Damage + Attack Speed.
Also, the Critical System is inherently getting added to all items where the items themselves will give you 25% Critical Chance. The entire details for this particular change is still not known yet but what is known has been compiled here. Also Movement Speed will be appearing more in ADC items.
There are also some Non-Critical Strike Chance items that will be available for players to buy. So, without further ado, let’s jump into it.
Bloodthirster
This item is essentially being rolled back to an old version to give more defensive options than offensive.
- New Build Path: B.F. Sword + Pickaxe + Vampiric Scepter + 325 Gold.

- Unique Passive – Engorge (Removed)

Other System Changes
There is so much to talk about in terms of system changes. Riot is changing up Runes by removing runes and adding new ones. Along the way, Riot is also buffing and nerfing some existing runes.
There are also some Summoner Spell changes as well, so this section is quite loaded.
Added Runes
Absorb Life
This replaces Overheal and will give better value, especially in lane.
- Killing a Target heals you for 2 – 17 (based on level) Health.
Cash Back
This replaces Future’s Market and also gets placed in the first row instead of Triple Tonic, which is being moved to Row 2.
- Get 6% Gold back when you purchase Legendary items.
Jack of All Trades
This replaces Time Warp Tonic’s position in Row 3. Thus, Time Warp Tonic is moving to Row 2 and replaces Minion Dematerializer.
- For each different stat gained from items, get one Jack stack. Each stack grants you 1 Ability Haste.
- At 5 stacks: 10 Adaptive Force.
- At 10 stacks: 25 Adaptive Force.

- Passive: Deal 8% more Damage to Champions who has more than 60% Maximum Health.
First Strike
- True Damage Bonus: 7% >>> 8%.
- Gold Earning: 5 (+ 8% damage dealt) >>> 15 (+ 4% damage dealt).
Fleet Footwork
- Base Healing: 10 – 130 >>> 8 – 110.
- Bonus Movement Speed Duration: 1 second >>> 1.25 seconds.
Font of Life
- Marks removed
- Immobilizing Enemies Heals User and Lowest HP Ally:
- Healing: 10 – 50 for Melee/ 9.3 – 46.5 for Ranged.
- Cooldown: 20 seconds.
Hail of Blades
- Bonus Attack Speed For Ranged: 110% >>> 80%.
Press The Attack
- Base Damage: 40 – 180 (based on level) >>> 40 – 160 (based on level).
- Cooldown: 5 seconds >>> 6 seconds.
- Effect Duration: 6 seconds >>> 5 seconds.
- Duration refreshes in combat against champions.
Relentless Hunter
- Movement Speed Per Stack: 5 (+ 8 per Bounty Hunter Stack) >>> 0 (+ 8 per Bounty Hunter Stack).
Sudden Impact
- No Longer Grants Lethality and Magic Penetration.
- Bonus True Damage: 20 – 80 within 5 seconds of dashing or blinking.
- Cooldown: 4 seconds >>> 10 seconds.
Time Warp Tonic
- No Longer Works on Biscuits and Mana Items.
- 2% Movement Speed Removed.
- Immediate Consumption Restoration: 30% >>> 40%.
Summoner Spell Changes
Barrier
- Duration: 2 seconds >>> 2.5 seconds.
- Shield: 105 – 411 (based on level) >>> 120 – 480 (based on level).
Cleanse
- Cooldown: 210 seconds >>> 240 seconds.
- Tenacity: 65% for 3 seconds >>> 75% for 3 seconds.
Exhaust
- Cooldown: 210 seconds >>> 240 seconds.
- Slow: 30% >>> 40%.
Ghost
- Cooldown: 210 seconds >>> 240 seconds.
- Duration: 15 seconds >>> 10 seconds.
Heal
- Range: 826 to Champion edge >>> 900 to Champion center.
Gold and Experience Changes
Riot is going to make some Gold and Experience changes and here are descriptions for all of them.
Duo Experience
Riot is increasing Experience earned in a duo lane in an effort to make bot lane slightly better to surive. Essentially, a duo lane will learn 7% more Experience.
- Experience Numbers: 116% >>> 124%.
Jungle Experience
There are some Jungle Experience buffs coming. This is a buff to the overall experience to clearing monsters and one to the Scuttle Grab.
- Monster Experience: 100/100/102.5/107.5/120/120/130/130/145% (Levels 1-9) >>> 100/100/125/130/135/140/145/150% (Levels 1-8).
- Scuttle Crab Experience: 100/105/110/115/120/125/130/135/140% (Levels 1-8) >>> 100/100/125/130/135/140/145/150% (Levels 1-8).
Shared Champion Kill Experience
With how Kills give Experience, Riot is adjusting experience at higher levels. Hence, they are adjusting that.
- Shared Champion Kill XP: 66.6 (level 1 – 6), 82% (levels 7 – 8), 100% (levels 9+) >>> 66.6 (level 1 – 6), 82% (levels 7 – 8), 90% (levels 9+).
Kill Gold
Riot is nerfing Gold gained from kills by making Bounties weaker. Also, Gold earned from someone who has died a lot in a game is being reduced.
- 2+ Kill Streak Gold: 450/600/700/800/900/1000 >>> 400/500/600/700/800/900/1000.
- CS Bounty: 50 Gold at 300 extra CS Gold + 50 per addtitional 200 >>> 50 gold at 300 extra CS gold + 50 per additional 250.
- 1+ Death Streak Gold: 274/220/176/140/112/100 >>> 267/201/151/113/100.
Skins
A new batch of Faerie Court skins is being released as Patch 14.10 is getting four new skins.
