The Preseason 2023: Preview is here, and with it comes information about the new Mythic item called “Icathia’s Endurance.”

As League of Legends season 12 is almost over, Riot games have finally announced all the changes coming in the upcoming preseason 2023.

In their latest post, Riot Games revealed the patch notes for Preseason 2023. And according to the post, the preseason will have quite a lot of changes. This year’s preseason changes will include the return of Chemtech Drake, massive Jungle changes, new communication options, Top Lane changes, and, most interestingly, more Items.

These Items are Icathia’s Endurance, Radiant Virtue, Iceborn Gauntlet, Goliath’s Ascendiary, and Rod of Ages. Along with new items, we can see that Riot is also bringing back some old items.

Today we will look at the new item called “Icathia’s Endurance.”

Icathia’s Endurance

Icathia’s Endurance (Mythic Item)

  • 400 Health
  • 30 Armor
  • 30 Magic Resist
  • 20 Ability Haste
    • Voidborn Resilience: For each second in champion combat, gain a stack granting 3 Armor and Magic Resist, up to 10 max. At max stack, become empowered, instantly draining enemies around you for 4% of your maximum health each (reduced to 1% against minions and monsters) and doubling your resists from stacks until the end of combat (60-second cooldown).
    • Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items 5 Armor and Magic Resist

The new Mythic item, Icathia’s Endurance, is a tank Mythic and will replace the Turbo Chemtank.

The item will give similar stats to Turbo Chemtank with 50 less health and five more Armor and Magic Resistance. The Ability Haste will remain the same, at 20 Ability Haste. The Mythic Passive will be quite different. Instead of giving 50 health and Ability Haste per Legendary item, it will give five Armor and Magic Resist.

Unlike most tank Mythics, Icathia’s Endurance will have more emphasis on drain tanking. Its passive Voidborn Resilience will allow champions to become tanky and deal damage in fights. Although it has a 60-second cooldown, it will help tanks stay in the side lane against bruisers such as Jax, Darius, Irelia, etc.

Release Date

According to Riot Games, the changes will be coming to the PBE (Public Beta Environment) servers on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
