League of Legends new AP Mythic item ‘Crown of the Shattered Queen’: stats, passive, and more

Riot Games has officially revealed the new AP mythic item called Crown of the Shattered Queen.

In every preseason, Riot brings some significant changes to the Summoner’ Rift. In season 10 preseason, they brought changes to the Elemental Rifts, which eventually changed the landscape of League of Legends. Likewise, in season 11 preseason, they brought some new item updates, new item class, and item system overhaul that shook up the meta in League of Legends.

However, unlike the last preseason, the 2022 preseason will not have any massive overhaul; instead, it will improve existing game systems and reward progression more meaningfully.

Earlier this month, Riot shared some of their plans for the 2022 preseason, including the new dragons, and mentioned there would be new mythic items.

And now, ahead of the season 12 preseason, Riot has shared the details about the upcoming AP Mythic called Crown of the Shattered Queen.

Crown of the Shattered Queen

  • 70 Ability Power
  • 250 Health
  • 600 Mana
  • 20 Ability Haste
    • You are Safeguarded, reducing incoming damage by 50%. Safeguard persists for 1.5 seconds after taking champion damage.
    • While Safeguarded, gain 10-40 Ability Power (by level)
    • (Regain Safeguard if you haven’t taken champion damage for 40 seconds).
  • Mythic Passive: 1% Move Speed & 50 Health

Based on stats, it seems to be an item made from heaven for Ryze; however, it will also be helpful to a lot of other AP and mage champions. Currently, many mages are struggling to have a diverse item choice because of the lack of Mythic items with mana. And Crown of the Shattered Queen should solve some of those issues.

Preseason 2022 will be available on PBE starting today for an extended period — four weeks. And after testing, Crown of the Shattered Queen will officially release on League of Legends patch 11.23.
