ARAM players are finally getting some love as the game mode is getting a massive update.

ARAM, or All Random All Mid, is one of the oldest game modes of League of Legends. Released in 2012, ARAM is one of only two remaining permanent game modes, with the other being Summoners Rift. However, unlike the competitively focused Summoners Rift, ARAM is geared more towards the casual player base.

Because of this, the game mode has experienced a surge in popularity over the last couple of years. The game mode has become extremely popular, especially among players who are merely looking to relax and have some fun with friends.

However, due to its causal-friendly status, ARAM was pretty much neglected by Riot for the majority of its lifespan. But starting in 2022, Riot finally started adding new content and updates to Riot.

Riot now regularly pumps out balance updates and there are always some quality-of-life updates here and there. However, there has not been any major update for ARAM for a while now. But it is going to change soon as Riot plans to release a new map for ARAM.

From the looks of it, the map is based on Zuan and Piltover. One side of the bridge seems to be based on Zaun and one seems to be based on Piltover. The Purple side, which is shown in the image seems to have architecture based on Zaun. Turrets, inhibitors, and Nexus, all seem to be powered by shimmer, which was introduced in Arcane Season 1. On the other side, the Piltover side or the Blue side seems to be powered by Hextech.

The map looks really fantastic and feels like a break from the Howling Abyss map. Additionally, There is a chance that there would be new mechanics introduced with the map. As for what the changes might be, we have to wait a while.

Release Date

The release date for the new ARAM map has not been revealed yet but it is speculated that it will be released sometime in November. So Patch 14.22 or 14.23 would be the best guess.
