After months of anticipation, Riot Games has officially revealed Ambessa Medarda for League of Legends.
Back in November of 2021, Riot released a Netflix series based on League of Legends called Arcane. Arcane was a massive success in all aspects.
Moreover, Riot also did some in-game events based on Arcane during that period. Meanwhile, there were also some in-game missions in which players could participate as well. Finishing those missions would grant players free Arcane-themed skins. These free skins are Arcane Jayce, Arcane Vi, Arcane Jinx, and Arcane Caitlyn. There is also Firelight Ekko which is part of the Arcane universe, however, it was released later down the line.
With that said, not too long ago, Riot teased and later revealed Arcane season 2. Additionally, they also provided a release date.
Similarly, earlier this month, Riot officially revealed the Hextech-themed patch for Wild Rift. In it, they showed off the upcoming Arcane-themed champion, Ambessa Medarda. Additionally, recently, they have released a preview video on the official Riot Games YouTube channel, discussing every Arcane-themed event that would be coming out. One of them is an official sneak peek of League of Legends’ upcoming champion, Ambessa Medarda.

This is what Ambessa Medarda looks like in League of Legends. Besides, her emotes and stances, we don’t know what her abilities look like. But she will be a top laner and highly likely might even be a bruiser.

Release Date
Currently, there are no official release dates as of yet. However, we can expect Ambessa to be released before or around the time Arcane season 2 releases. Arcane Season 2 will be released on November 9, 2024. Therefore, we should see her release around that time.
