This Kalista bug has been plaguing Kalista players for more than eight years.
Bugs are common in every video game, and League of Legends is no exception. Because the game changes frequently, it has more bugs than typical games. Almost every patch introduces new in-game and client bugs. These bugs are generally fixed pretty fast. However, certain problems persist for an extended period of time, and the Kalista auto-attack issue is such one.
Kalista currently has two major bugs that affect her auto attacks, which in turn affects her damage output. The first bug is the interaction between the attack move click and her auto attacks. It was introduced on November 28, 2014, more than eight years ago, and is yet to be fixed. The second bug is Kalista getting lower attack speed while kiting utilizing her passive. The bug was reported on November 27, 2015.
Both of these bugs are still in the game, and Riot has not done anything about the bugs.

The Bugs
Here’s a brief rundown of the bugs. Additionally, massive thanks to the Reddit user AndreVallestero for highlighting the Kalista bugs.
The first bug causes Kalista to walk towards the target when using auto attack click in junction with her Passive – Martial Poise. So essentially, when using the attack move function, if you auto-attack a target and jump out of range using her passive, she will walk back towards the target to auto-attack.
Here is a video made by the user IYorshI demonstrating the bug.
The second bug involves her having less attack speed while kiting using her passive. When Kalista uses her Passive – Martial Poise and attack-move-click, her attack speed seems to get reduced. This attack speed drop doesn’t show on the UI but is noticeable in gameplay. She loses a considerable amount of DPS even compared to Right Clicking.
Here’s an in-depth video by Ajoscram proving its existence.
Using the attack move, click essential on any marksman champion. It helps to reposition and kite enemies. Having bugs like this is unacceptable for a champion whose core mechanic is to kite enemies.
