Exoprimal is out on most of the major platforms, but is it supported on the Steam Deck? We have the answer to that!

Exoprimal is the new multiplayer co-op shooter where you go against an opponent team to complete the level first by slaying different types of Dinosaurs. It doesn’t have any single-player mission and is strictly co-op only. You get to choose a class and team up to be the first team to complete the objectives and, thus, the level.

Exopriaml has some good ideas and pretty good gameplay. But right now, it doesn’t have much content. All we have in the game is some cutscene and lore diaries to attach a storyline to the game and the one-game mode. It is available on all the major platforms too.

Exoprimal on Steam Deck is Alright

Yes, you can play Exoprimal on Steam Deck right out of the box. But the key thing here, this game is not rated Verified by Valve for the Steam Deck. Its rating is “Playable.” There are a few reasons behind it. The official Steam verification states the keyboard opens sometimes, and a few texts are too small on the Steam deck to read properly. Depending on your tolerance, these can be a deal breaker or not a problem at all.

However, the performance on the Steam Deck is not too great either. The game is very power-hungry. So you will only be getting about an hour of gameplay in a single charge from it. As for the performance, it will stay around 30-40 FPS on the medium settings with a little bit of tweak. Even though the game has FSR support, it doesn’t help it that much.
