Alan Wake 2 gives you plenty of weapons to choose from to arm yourself against nightmarish creatures that you face throughout the game.

One of the more unique weapons you can pick up is the crossbow, which allows you to reuse your bolts if you manage to pick them up again.

However, it can be a tad difficult to know where to find the Crossbow in Alan Wake II. So if you want to know how to get your hands on this weapon, then this guide is perfect for you!

Where to Find the Crossbow in Alan Wake 2

You can find the Crossbow northeast of the Watery in a Cult Stash outside a training range of sorts. You can get an idea about the location from the Coffee World map image below.

Once you’re there, you’ll find some logs used as target practice dummies for the crossbow. Look around, and you’ll see a silver container nearby.

Now notice that the container is locked by a combination lock; if you don’t want to solve the puzzle then just turn the dials to ‘527’ for it to unlock. The combination is based on the target practice logs that were hit with Crossbow bolts. The number ‘5’ log was hit with one bolt, number ‘2’ was hit with two, and number ‘7’ was hit with three, indicating the combination for the lock.

There you have it! You can now use the crossbow to take down enemies, which deals a decent amount of damage and also has fewer issues with ammo, as you’ll be able to pick up bolts to reuse them.
