How to Play Modern Warfare 3 at 120FPS on PS5
The most important thing to play Modern Warfare 3 at 120 FPS is ensuring a monitor with a refresh rate of 120 Hz or higher. If the criteria are met, then follow the following steps to enable 120 FPS:
- After turning on the PlayStation 5, head to Settings.
- Scroll down to the Screen and Video prompt.
- After selecting the prompt, head to the Video Output tab.
- In the Video Output tab, select the “120 Hz Output.”
- Then, set it to “Automatic.”
- Lastly, boot up Modern Warfare 3 to play in 120 FPS.
However, the game will show a black screen upon booting as this is the PS5 adjusting to the 120 FPS setting. Furthermore, the resolution will be locked at 1080p for most applications, as few of them support 120 FPS at 1440p resolution on PS5.
Unfortunately, the players who cannot get the native 120 FPS in-game can fix it by following a simple trick. Just delete the saved data of Modern Warfare 3 from the storage and restart the console. It should fix the problem, and then Modern Warfare 3 will be playable in 120 FPS.
