If you played the previous entries, then you will be quite familiar with how finishers work in the game. The big difference is the finishers themselves. New moves and new animations make performing the finisher more satisfying than ever before.

In order to perform a finisher, this is what you need to do:

  • Fill up your focus bar by engaging in combat with enemies. You can increase Focus faster by performing longer strings of combos. Dodging, weaving, performing air yanks, and swing kicks can also go a long way. Remember that you can either use up your Focus bar to perform a finisher or use it up to heal yourself.
  • When you have one full bar of focus, press the Triangle and Circle buttons together to perform the finisher.

  • You can take down brute-type enemies if you have two full bars of focus.
  • Unlike normal enemies, Bosses cannot be instantly taken down with a finisher. You can, however, inflict heavy damage upon them.
