How To Enhance Weapons in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact offers players a number of weapons in the game, both of which can be crafted or summoned from the weapon and standard banner. Each weapon players choose will be level 1 at first and has a base ATK(attack), which can vary from weapon to weapon. The base ATK of the weapon will change on the weapon’s rarity, and rarity will increase the damage output of the weapons.

Enhancing a weapon in Genshin Impact is pretty straightforward, and I will show you how to do it. You can enhance a weapon with several items, like weapon enhancement crystals and lower rarity weapons, to level up with the weapon. The weapon becomes stronger with each level, and the stats increase significantly.

Enhancing a Weapon

First, you need to open the Main Menu by clicking Paimon’s Head on Mobile devices or pressing the ESC key on Windows computers. After opening the Main Menu, click Inventory, which will take you straight into the weapon’s section.

Select the weapon you want to enhance and click Details on the bottom right of the screen. After clicking Details, look for the Ascend option at the left of your screen to bring up the enhancement page.

You can select the items you want to use on the enhancement page. Afterward, you can use weapons of any rarity or enhancement crystals to level up the weapon.

You can choose the number of items you want to use to level up the weapon or click the Auto Add option, automatically adding the required items to enhance the weapon. Clicking Auto Add will add 20 items ranging from weapons of lower rarity to enhancement ores to level up the weapon.

Upon reaching a certain level, players are also required to ascend the weapon, which will require some materials that can be obtained from the weapon’s enhancement domains, and enemy drops from the world.

Refining A Weapon

Players can also Refine a weapon in Genshin Impact, increasing the weapon’s passive stats to make them even stronger. Weapon refining is the process of feeding the weapon’s duplicate copies to the one you intend to use to increase its effect. A weapon can reach Refinement Rank 5, which requires four copies of the same weapon.

You can access the refinement page after clicking Refine on the weapon’s details page from the left side of the screen under the Ascend option. It will ask you for Identical Weapon Materials, where you can use four identical weapons to refine it. The process will also show you which passive stats will increase with each refinement and the max refinement rank you can achieve.

Both enhancing and refining a weapon will also cost a bit of Mora, so check if you have enough to enhance the weapon.
