League of Legends players will be able to get the Unbound Thresh skin for free—well kind of.
Riot Games has been building up one of the biggest events of the year, the Sentinels of Light event, for months now. It all started earlier this year with the introduction of Viego, the Ruined King. And last month, Riot introduced the Sentinels of Light skin line where the Sentinel champions are destined to beat Ruined King’s army.
The event is full of Ruined and Sentinel champions. However, besides these crowded rosters, Riot has also revealed a different skin, Unbound Thresh, releasing on the Sentinels of Light event as well. Unbound Thresh is going to be Thresh’s second human form skin. But unlike the Spirit Blossom Thresh skin, this new skin has been receiving mixed reactions.
During Unbound Thresh’s reveal, Riot didn’t mention when or how players will be able to get it. However, there have been many speculations that Unbound Thresh will be an event-only skin. Resulting, many players wondering whether they will be able to get the skin for free or not.
Riot Games has now posted League of Legends’ Sentinels of Light event faq. And it seems, all the players will have a chance to get the Unbound Thresh skin for free.
In order to get the Unbound Thresh skin for free, all you have to do is collect 300 event tokens. In every League of Legends event, players get 300 tokens for free (even without the pass) meaning all the players who will at least complete the normal missions will be able to get Unbound Thresh skin for free. But buying the event pass will definitely help you get the skin a lot quicker.
While the second set of Sentinel skins are releasing on July 22nd, the Unbound Thresh skin will be available from July 29th.
Furthermore, Riot Games also confirmed that Unbound Thresh will debut as an event shop exclusive during Sentinels of Light. But it will return to the store for regular purchase as a 750 RP skin in patch 11.20.
