How to Fix Modern Warfare 3 Error Code “0x00001338”

There are many ways to fix this error code in Modern Warfare 3. However, we have narrowed it down to the most effective ones. Let’s take a look at all the methods we can use to fix Error Code “0x00001338” in Modern Warfare 3:

1) Verifying the Integrity of Game Files

The first way to fix error codes on Steam is to verify the integrity of game files. By opening the game’s properties and going to Installed Files, you will find the option to verify game files. Upon verification of the game files, Steam finds out the corrupted game files and redownloads them. Initially, verifying game files will fix this error code most of the time.

For Battle.net users, to verify game files, click Options, then Verify Integrity of Game Files. Just like Steam, Battle.net will also scan for corrupted game files; if found, they will replace them by redownloading those game files.

2) Running the Game on Low Settings

The game’s Steam port is causing issues for AMD GPU users. So, if you’re an AMD GPU user, head to the in-game settings from the CoD HQ app, then put “FidelityFX Super Resolution” on the Low-Performance Mode. As for NVIDIA GPU users, head to the NVIDIA Control Panel and lower the Super Resolution for RTX Video Enhancement to 1 or 2.

3) Reinstalling the Game

If none of the above methods work, the last option is to reinstall the game. Reinstalling the game will most probably fix the error code. However, if the error code pops up, we recommend waiting until Sledgehammer Games releases a patch fixing this error code.

Stay frosty; hopefully, our fixes will help you get back into action in Modern Warfare 3 as soon as possible.
