How To Find A Shovel in BG3
In Act 1, after getting up from the Mindflayer Ship, keep heading South until you find Overgrown Ruins. After reaching the Ruins, you will face a group of treasure hunters, fight them, and you will be able to explore the ruins.
Start exploring the Ruins, and head to the interior. You will find a Shovel lying in front of the door on the right side.
While this is the first time you can find a Shovel in Baldur’s Gate 3, there’s another one you can find in the latter part of the game. After defeating the group of Goblins, you will find a Shovel stuck inside a mound of dirt when you reach the Emerald Grove Grave.
