Starfield gives the player free rein to take the spaceship and explore. Here, we will show you how you can dock your ship in the game.
Bethesda’s newest RPG, Starfield, lets the player explore the space free in a spaceship. Throughout the game’s story, you will be able to go around different pre-built planets and do quests to progress the story. But aside from the pre-built planets or towns, the game also features procedurally generated planets for the players to land on and explore.
But planets are not the only things the game has to offer. There are also space stations and other ships you will come across. You can also dock in these stations or ships. You can engage in combat and board other ships or dock to meet other NPCs exploring the space. Here, we will show you how you can dock your ship in Starfield.

Docking a Ship in Starfield
Docking is pretty easy in Starfield. However, the pre-requisite conditions must be met before you can start docking. The station or ship needs to be completely still before you can dock on it. For space stations, it is still, so you can fly closer to it, and a docking prompt will appear. Press the button to dock on it automatically.
If it is a ship that is flying through space, you cannot dock on it. But you can try to stop the ship by taking out the engine. Lock onto the engine and take it out to make the ship loose speed and eventually come to a stop. Then, you can dock on the ship and board it. But be prepared as the crew will fight back when you go over to the other ship.
