Smalland: Survive the Wilds is the Survival genre game. You play as a small creature in the vast world at the lowest point of the food chain in Survive the Wilds. Players must collect survival items and resources to live, protect and fight.

You have to acquire different weapons and gears to fight off more enormous creatures like Ants, Bees, Spiders, Beetles etc. Always be cautious of these enemies, as they can destroy your colony and quickly kill you if you do not fight back in Smalland. Food, Water, and Shelter are three primary resources to collect to survive, and you can also craft and repair various items.

There are more survival items to collect in Survive the Wilds; one of the essential items is Chitin. Chitin can be found after you have killed hard-shelled Bugs like Beetles or Cockroaches in the game. And the Chitin is important to collect because you can use it to craft different items like Chitin Axe, Spear or Hatchet to level up quickly.

How To Get Heavy Chitin

To get Heavy Chitin, you may follow the steps below:

Find Hard-Shelled Bugs

To get Chitin, the first thing to do is to find Hard-Shelled Bugs like Sawyer Beetles or Cockroaches, which have strong shells. Visit the Forests, Graylands, and Beach area in the South-West region of the game, where you will find Cockroaches and Beetles.

Search the trees to find Beetles, as they tend to fly, and you can search the ground area to find Cockroaches in those locations.

Kill the Bugs

After encountering Beetles or Cockroaches, get close to them and beat them with your weapon, such as a wooden weapon and finally kill it.

Remember that when you attack Cockroaches in Survive the Wilds, they will not attack you back, but when you strike the Stag Beetles, they will attack you back when you try to kill them. So, always be careful and use your skill to defeat them.

After you have defeated those types of Bugs, they will automatically vanish and leave residues like;

  • Cockroach’s Meat
  • Bug’s Lymph
  • Chitin
  • Bug Fat and much more!

Collect the resources as soon as they appear and fill your inventory.

That’s how you can get Heavy Chitin in Smalland: Survive the Wilds.
