God of War Ragnarok has a few shields dividing them into two separate types. So here are all the shields and how you can get them in the game.
God of War: Ragnarok builds up on the previous game and makes the combat even more in-depth. To continue that, the game introduces two different types of shields. One is a blocking shield that can block and absorb energy into it. Then you can release the energy with a shield slam onto the ground.
The other shield is a parrying shield. It is not for blocking. This shield can only be used for parrying different attacks from enemies. Getting a parry will open them up for the following strike. Different parry shield also grants different abilities when you parry them.
So there is a lot of fun to change and experiment with different types of shields. Thus here we have listed all the shields and how you can find those in God of War Ragnarok.

How to Get All Shields in God of War Ragnarok
At the start of the game, you get into a big fight with Thor. During this fight, your shield gets damaged and thus opening up the option to change them. Let us go through all the shields one by one to see where you can get those:

| Guardian Shield | Kratos’s old shield. Given to you by Brok at the start of Main Quest 8: The Word of Fate. |
| Shatter Star Shield | Found in a chest at Vanaheim realm. The location of this chest is The Abandoned Village. |
| Onslaught Shield | Found in the Legendary Chest after Gram Boss Fight. If you don’t pick it up after the fight, it can be purchased from Blacksmith later. |
These are all the shields you can get in God of War Ragnarok. Every shield has a skill that is unique to them. So depending on which shield you are using, it can greatly change your playstyle.
