Genshin Impact players will get a surprise this December at Val Thorens, The highest ski resort in the Alps.
Genshin Impact has previously collaborated with brands like KFC, Razer, Sony, etc. The collaboration with KFC awarded players with a free glider for ordering food at certain Chinese KFC restaurants. Razer brought official Genshin Impact Edition gaming gear for fans of the gacha game. Genshin and Sony collaboration saw Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn added as a playable character in Genshin. The most recent collaboration was with Twitch, where subscribing to select streamers awarded the KFC glider to the global playerbase.
But now, seems like Genshin Impact is trying to do something different. In a recent announcement, Genshin Impact announced a collaboration with Val Thorens. It is a French ski resort situated in the Alps. According to the official Wikipedia, Val Thorens is situated at a height of approximately 2,300 m or 7,500 ft.

The Genshin Impact official Twitter account announced this collaboration just a few hours ago. The Tweet reads,
“Dear Travelers,
We have prepared an interesting surprise for you this season!
Starting December 14, Genshin Impact will team up with Val Thorens, the world’s highest ski resort in the Alps, to host a series of mysterious events! There will be tons of exciting content!”
From the images attached with the Tweet, we can see Genshin Impact-themed posters and Cable Cars, etc. Currently, we don’t have any information about any in-game changes as a result of this collaboration. Seems like Genshin Impact players visiting the Alps will be the ones benefiting from this.
