Genshin Impact’s Review on Google Playstore is getting lower and lower by the minute.
Genshin Impact was first released back on September 28th of 2020. That means it’s been a year since the release of the game. But a lot of Genshin Impact players are not happy with the anniversary celebration rewards. A few days ago Mihoyo announced the Genshin Impact Anniversary rewards and one of them is a Web event and the other is an art contest. Also, the rewards for these contests are not that great apparently.
There are no in-game events or rewards for the Genshin Impact Anniversary. One is a Web event with a 10% chance to win Welkin Moon($5) and 100k Mora which can be earned by spending just 40 resin or 1 Condensed Resin in the game. The other reward is for artists offering only a measly 100 Priomgems and IRL items. But Genshin Impact has more than 50 Million active players and not all of them are artists.

So, the Anniversary rewards controversy coupled with the recent 5* character Kokomi debacle has left a bad taste in the majority of Genshin Player’s mouths. A lot of players on the Chinese Genshin and Global community shared their dissatisfaction on Genshin Impact community website Hoyolab.
But some recent news spread that Mihoy was trying to censor people talking about the Anniversary rewards on different social media. People were apparently getting banned and posts were getting removed left and right for mentioning anything about the Anniversary Rewards.

So all of this fueled the fire even further and a lot of players started review bombing Genshin Impact on the Google Play Store. Originally the review of Genshin Impact was 4.6 out of 5. But within the span of just a day, the average review of Genshin Impact has come down to just 2.0.
And from the way things are looking, the review score will go down even further. But the rating of Genshin Impact on the Apple Store still remains 4.7.
