Some recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that a new weapon type might be coming to the game.
Genshin Impact’s upcoming character Yelan was first officially revealed during the Moonchase Festival cutscene. In the cutscene, we saw a sky blue-haired girl wearing a similar outfit to Xinqiu.
According to many rumors, this character is Yelan and she is the younger version of Madam Ping. Her element at the time was thought to be Hydro but nothing was confirmed and all were just speculations.

Recently some Genshin Impact leakers have found data that suggest Yelan might be a Crossbow user. Project Celestia on Twitter recently shared this new shocking info about Yelan. The Tweet reads,
“[2.4 BETA] Character Data There are traces of data of Yelan as a crossbow (not bow) lady character. Yae Miko’s character data was also updated which may indicate her upcoming release. ※ Subject to change.”
According to another Genshin leaker Ubatcha, Mihoyo is currently discussing adding many new weapon types and the crossbow is one of them. But there is a chance that most of them don’t make it to the final release.
