With less than two weeks left for the Genshin Impact version 3.0 update, players are excited about what the new update is bringing to the players.
Evermotion Mechanical Painting is a gear puzzle event in Genshin Impact 2.8 and the final event of this patch. In this event, players need to assist Félix Yogue, an inventor from the Court of Fontaine, who seems to be having some problems with their effort to promote their Kinesis Cores.

Evermotion Mechanical Painting Event Guide
Eligibility
- Adventure Rank 18 or above.
- Complete the Archon Quest “Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom.”
Event Duration
Evermotion Mechanical Painting begins on August 12, 2022 at 10 AM server time, and the event will end on August 22, 2022 at 3:59 PM server time.
Event Details
Once you’re eligible for the event after completing the Archon Quest, the event will unlock automatically. You will find Felix Yogue in a park nearby the Knights of Favonius headquarters; talk to him to initiate the event. Felix will ask you to head to a nearby hilichurl encampment to defeat the enemies and retrieve a Box of Components.
Return to Mondstadt and give the box to Felix Yogue, and you have now unlocked the Mechanical Painting Part restoration puzzle event.
How To Solve Mechanical Puzzle
Use Yogue’s workbench to restore the Mechanical Painting Parts. There are six Mechanical Painting Parts unlockable throughout the first six days of the event. Players must complete all six parts and combine them into an Evermotion Mechanical Painting.
Once completed, players will receive a furnishing item for your Serenitea Pot. And for completing every puzzle, players will receive Primogem and experience materials as a reward.
Gameplay
Press the “Restore Mechanical Painting Parts” at the device next to Yogue to begin the restoration process. To restore Mechanical Painting Parts, you must fit various Gears into a board until they all start to move. You can pick one Gear at each Position on the left and can switch to the Upper or Lower Level to adjust its placement.
There’s no time limit, so you can keep trying until you solve the puzzle. If you make a mistake, click the Reset button on the bottom right of the screen.

Combining The Painting
After solving all 6 puzzles on the sixth day, talk to Félix Yogue and complete the painting. Ironically that is also a puzzle. Players are required to place six pieces into six different positions and rotate the pieces until they get the picture. Here are the correct positions of the pieces to the puzzle.
