Genshin Impact has a special shop called Starglitter Exchange that resets every month. In this shop, players can exchange their excess Starglitter to get free 4* characters, weapons, and other crafting materials. The Starglitter Exchange shop is the only place in Genshin Impact where there isn’t any RNG involved.
So, a lot of players eagerly wait each month for the shop reset. The 4* star characters that are available each month can bring great value to many Genshin players. The Starglitter Exchange shop has now reset for December. Below is the updated Starglitter Exchange shop.

The first character Kaeya is a 4* Cryo sword character. He can be built both as an off-field and main DPS. The Blizzard strayer 4 piece is perfect for someone like Kaeya. He is a character that Genshin Impact players can get for free at the start of the game. Everyone playing Genshin already has him. So the question arises why buy him from the Starglitter shop?
Kaeya was never in an event banner and is only obtainable from the standard banner so getting his constellations is hard for f2p and low spenders. His 2nd constellation increases his damage potential by a lot so it’s worth getting Kaeya if you have the spare Starglitter.
Barbara is a 4* Hydro Catalyst user. She is one of the best healers in the game. The newly released Ocean-Hued Clam Artifact Set is perfect for her as it helps her deal damage based on the amount she heals. Also, Mihoyo in recent times is trying to bring back the healers into meta and trying to make tanky shields a little less effective. So, if you lack any other healers then you might consider buying Barbara from this month’s shop.
The weapons this month are the Royal set which increases your critical chance if you damage an enemy and can stack up multiple times until a crit hit occurs. All the weapons of this set have the same main stat and weapon bonus. The stats for the Royal Longsword weapon can be seen below.
