Here are the locations of all five ancient fossil for the ‘Paleontological Investigation in The Chasm’ world quest in Genshin Impact.
After the version 2.6 update of Genshin Impact, players are finding a lot of quests and activities in the game. The Ancient Fossils are the remains of some animals that can be found in The Chasm: Underground Mines. According to Khedive, a researcher from Sumeru, these fossils are perfectly preserved. He thinks that all these fossils were buried together because of an accident that happened a long time ago.
Players need to take pictures of all five ancient fossils around the underground mines of the Chasm and give them to Khedive to complete the quest. Talk to Khedive first to get the quest. This requires a Level 6 Lumenstone Adjuvant to complete.
Here are all five locations of ancient fossils in the lower level of the Chasm.
All Ancient Fossil Locations In The Chasm
Location 1
Teleport to the teleporter waypoint near the green circle area in the top right . Drop to the ground, go around it on the map to the green area until you see a bridge. At the end of the bridge on the right is the fossil.
Location 2
For the second ancient fossil use the teleporter south of the Underground Waterway. Then, walk south along the walls until players find some Hilichurls dancing in front of the ancient fossil.
Location 3
For the third ancient fossil, use the teleporter in The Glowing Narrows, then walk west. Follow the path until you have to drop down to a watery area. The ancient fossil can be found around this part.
Location 4
For the fourth ancient fossil use either of the teleporters on the north or the east of the Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel. Then, glide to the marked spot and find the ancient fossil around the ground level.
Location 5
The fifth ancient fossil is hidden up above the underground Chasm. To find it, use the teleporter south of the Underground Waterway, then find an Anemo monument. Activate the Anemo monument to release a wind current that will make players glide far above. You’ll find the fossil on a wall once you reach the top.
What To Do After Finding The Fossil Pictures
After taking pictures of all five of the ancient fossils, go back to Khedive and give him the pictures.
After collecting five pictures of Genshin Impact’s Ancient Fossils, talk to Khedive at the explorer’s camp and give him the pictures.
