With Genshin Impact 5.5 on the horizon, leaks have surfaced, giving us a glimpse into the exciting content coming to Teyvat. From new characters and regions to fresh events and challenges, here’s everything we know so far!
New Characters: Varesa & Iansan
The long-awaited character reveals continue with Varesa and Iansan set to make their debut in Version 5.5. Varesa is sure to hype up the meta with the new plunge DPS playstyle and Iansan seems to be a close competition to Bennet as a reliable support 4 star. New Areas: Ancient Sacred Mountain & Sanctified Wilds
Genshin’s expansive world continues to grow with two brand-new areas that showcases volcanic environment and a live volcano as well:
- Ancient Sacred Mountain
- Sanctified Wilds
New Artifact Sets
Two new artifact sets will be introduced, catering to plunge DPS playstyle (primarily for Varesa and maybe Xiao?) and the other for Cryo DPS which is likely for Skirk. I’ve covered more about them in here.
New World Quest: Huitzilopochtli
A mysterious new world quest titled “Huitzilopochtli” is coming in 5.5, potentially drawing inspiration from Mesoamerican mythology. This quest may unravel hidden lore about a forgotten civilization or introduce players to a significant NPC. This will obviously include the new areas.
Main Event: Tournament of Glory in Bloom
The flagship event of 5.5, Tournament of Glory in Bloom, promises to be a grand battle-centric event. While the exact mechanics remain unclear, it could involve a PvE tournament-style format where players face off against formidable opponents for lucrative rewards. We will get a free Ororon upon completion.
Event & New Challenges
- Rhythm Ball (Brickbuster) Rerun – A fan-favorite rhythm-based event is making a comeback, challenging players with musical precision.
- Ultimate Chicken Horse (Co-op Mode) – A wacky, co-op challenge where players must work together to overcome obstacles. This event seems to add a more humorous, party-game-like twist to Genshin’s event lineup.
- Battle Event: UFC – A combat-focused event that could introduce new enemy types or challenge modifiers, making fights even more intense.
- Double Artifacts – This limited-time event will double rewards from artifact domains (no need for condensed resin), allowing players to optimize their builds with ease.
New Night Trials & Local Legends
We will get 2 new Night Trails and 4 new Local Legends in Genshin Impact 5.5.
New Boss Fight
A brand-new boss Lava Dragon Statue is coming to 5.5 he is supposed to be located volcanic Sanctified Wilds.
