Recently Mihoyo revealed lots of info about the upcoming character Kokomi.
Kokomi is coming to Genshin Impact in the v2.2 update. She is a Hydro 5* Catalyst user and her forte is healing. Recently Mihoyo released Kokomi’s character teaser which gives us a little backstory to Kokomi’s origins and her personality.

Kokomi’s Introduction:
Kokomi’s full name is Sangonomiya Kokomi and she is the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. She uses a Hydro Catalyst and is labeled by Mihoyo as a Support with excellent healing capabilities.
Her English and Japanese Voice Actresses are Risa Mei MIMORI Suzuko.
Talents:
Kokomi’s normal attack is “The Shape of Water”. She performs up to three consecutive hydro attacks that take the form of swimming fish. Her charged attack consumes stamina and deals hydro damage after a short time.
Kokomi’s Elemental skill’s name is “Kurage’s Oath”. This ability summons a “Bake-Kurage” created from water that heals allies and applies the wet status effect to enemies and Kokomi herself. This skill scales with Kokomi’s Max HP.
Her Elemental Burst “Nereid’s Ascention” deals Hydro damage to surrounding enemies and covers Kokomi with a ceremonial garment made out of water. During this skill, the following happens-
- Kokomi’s normal, charged and Elemental Skill all have increased damage based on her Max HP.
- Her normal and charged attacks can heal all nearby party members (scales of Max HP).
- Kokomi gains the ability to walk on water.

Story:
According to the blog post, The people of Watatsumi island used to live at the bottom of the sea. But then the White Serpent god Orobaxi brought them to the surface. But later Raiden Shogun killed Orobaxi and his skeleton still lies in Tatarigami. The Sangonomiya clan are the descendants of the people that Orobaxi brought to the surface.
The current Sangonomiya clan still inherits the will of Orobaxi to protect the people of Watatsumi island.

Kokomi’s favorite pastime is to read books on strategy in a quiet place. Apparently, she can read these kinds of books for a whole day without interruption.

Kokomi’s favorite food is Bird Egg Sushi. She like this dish because of the ease of access and simple preparation method.
