Fortnite’s Treasure Hunters mini-season launched on November 1, bringing a reward that could give lucky players a serious Locker upgrade. Pirate Shop Access lets winners claim eligible V-Bucks items from the Item Shop for free across a 14-day window, with a second activation available in 2027. Early player reports already show the feature in action.

In brief:

  • Pirate Shop Access can drop through the mini-season’s chest-based Treasure Hunt rewards.
  • Winners receive separate activations for 2026 and 2027, each offering 14 days of eligible free Item Shop claims.
  • Reports indicate the reward also goes to squadmates, while claimed cosmetics stay on your account permanently.
  • Real-money offers, gifting, and Battle Pass purchases are excluded, with additional restrictions on Sidekicks.

How to Get Pirate Shop Tokens in Fortnite

Opening chests in Battle Royale gives players a chance to receive Treasure Hunt prizes, including Pirate Shop Access. According to HYPEX’s findings, the shop reward appears in every week’s prize pool, although its exact drop rate remains unknown. There’s currently no confirmed chest count that guarantees a token.

Playing with friends could make a lucky find even sweeter. Reports indicate that when someone discovers the reward, their squadmates receive it too. However, access is tied to each recipient’s account, so players cannot transfer an earned token to someone else afterward.

Player snowslept, whose discovery was shared by HYPEX, reported finding access during a normal Solos match. They later showed their free shop claims and confirmed that the cosmetics are permanent, including eligible Jam Tracks.

Pirate Shop Access Gives Players Two 14-Day Windows

According to HYPEX, winning the reward provides two activations:

  • 2026 access: Activate between November 1 and December 15, 2026.
  • 2027 access: Activate between January 1 and December 15, 2027.

The two-week countdown begins when you activate access. Finding the reward does not immediately start the timer, giving winners some flexibility over when to begin claiming cosmetics. Check the deadline displayed in-game before saving yours for later.

ShiinaBR’s explanation also indicates that players can claim multiple eligible items throughout the active period, rather than choosing a single cosmetic. That means new shop rotations could bring more free additions while access remains active.

What Does Fortnite’s Pirate Shop Exclude?

The reward covers eligible items sold for V-Bucks, but several purchases remain outside its scope:

  • Real-money offers and bundles.
  • Gifts sent to other players.
  • Battle Pass purchases, levels, and rewards.
  • Sidekicks beyond the reported allowance of one previously unowned Sidekick.

Players should check the in-game terms before activating, particularly for Sidekick eligibility.

One Piece Skins Make the Timing Especially Tempting

Epic’s official season announcement puts Luffy, Nami, and Usopp in the Item Shop at launch, with Zoro, Sanji, and the Chopper Sidekick arriving November 7. Winners could claim eligible crossover cosmetics while those items are available during their active Pirate Shop window.

An IShowSpeed One Piece-themed skin has also surfaced through leaker posts, although Epic’s published season announcement does not list it.
