The Recycler weapon fits into the theme of the season very well. Fortnite Season 6 is based on the whole map getting sent back to a primal age. Some new weapons were introduced that are made from scraps and can be further upgraded. So, a gun that uses scraps and materials as ammo is a perfect fit for this season.
The Recycler Weapon was first leaked back in September of 2020. Then in the Season 6 Battle Pass Trailer we saw a Fortnite character using the Recycler weapon. Later some leakers found even more in-game files regarding the Recycler as well as some strings. Since then Fortnite players have been eagerly waiting for Fortnite to add the Recycler weapon into the game.
Fortnite recently added the Recycler weapons into the game. A Fortnite data miner also found in-game stats for all the rarities of this weapon.
