Fortnite has decided that the EU Open and Aura Scrim Test needs some adjustments.

Fortnite recently announced the Open and Aura Test Scrims for the EU region. This was Epic’s way of bringing something new for the Fortnite competitive players. These test scrims are only for the EU regions this time but Epic said in their blog post that if everything goes according to plan this feature would be available for other regions as well.

The players for the Scrims test would be divided into two pools at the start of the “Open” and “Aura” Scrims. Players only need to be in the Arena division rank 3+ in the EU to get into the Open division. Aura players would be the Top 500 teams from Chapter 2 Season 5 FNCS.

This initiative was well received by most of the Fortnite community. But recently Epic has decided to make some adjustments to the Fortnite EU Test Scrim system.

Fortnite EU Scrim Test Adjustments:

Recently Fortnite Competitive Twitter account made a statement informing everyone about the upcoming changes to the EU Scrim System.

“Adjustments for the EU Scrim Test:

  • All players relegated from Aura Scrims
  • Arena Division 8+ required for Open Scrims
  • No points awarded for Eliminations

We’re continuing to work on some leaderboard functionality. The results from yesterday’s Open Scrims will persist. GLHF”

So apparently all players who were in the Aura Scrims will be de-ranked to the open Scrims if I am interpreting the meaning of relegated correctly. Moreover Epic also increased the requirement to get into the Open Scrims from division 3+ to division 8+. Going forward no points will be awarded for eliminations in the EU Test Scrim system.

Epic also said that they are working on some leaderboard functionalities. They also mentioned that the results from the previous Open Scrims will stay as it is.
